Patrice calls out the guys from Workaholics.

This is like worlds colliding for me right here; I love OnA (obviously), but I also love Workaholics. Patrice (RIP) was one of my absolute favorite comics of all time. When he was on the show, it went to a whole different level. This particular time, maybe the first time ever, I completely disagree with Patrice and the bbb-boys. I heard a lot of hate and subtle jealousy in Patrice's voice. The Workaholics guys don't claim to be top notch comics, they are nowhere near Patrice's level talent-wise, but at that point, they probably had more notoriety than he did. Comedy Central hired them to host a "red carpet" for a roast. There Comedy Central's product, they were putting them out there. All that other crap they were talking about, claiming that the Workaholics guys have this arrogance and sense of "not caring", that was stupid. I love Patrice, always will, but he was wrong on this one.

I don't think Patrice did it out of hate, it was more of that "I don't give a fuck who you are, you're nothing to me because I'm Patrice" sort of thing. He did it all the time when he was in studio with people who he wasn't a huge fan of. It wasn't meant to be disrespectful, it was jut Patrice's thing.

Agreed. I'd also like to add that the troupe that makes up the main characters of "Workaholics" probably felt a little more than a bit put out when they were told by Comedy Central to go to one of their "roasts" on short notice and do their characters on established comedians and actors. It was a terrible idea, and Patrice was the only one to point out how terrible it was. I miss that man so much that I don't completely understand why.

my sentiments exactly.

as a comedy fan i enjoy both. dont think patrice got a good idea of the guys comedy beyond what he was exposed to at that one event.

gotta remember that patrice is a guy who tried forever to get a show going and all of sudden he sees these kids who have done nothing get this show on primetime comedy central. that would piss me off to no end personally.
