It's definitely intensely pathetic. You certainly would be incredibly embarrassed if you were in anyway connected to someone that would attempt such an embarrassingly low level crime. What would make it worse would be if the person committing such a pathetic crime was also morbidly obese. It would be worse still if there was video of both the crime and the obesity being shared on social media by the victim and that footage was discovered by an internet community that the perpetrator of the crime held a position of authority in, then it was shared among the users of that community - especially if it came on the heels of a widely unpopular series of decisions that had already called your sense of reason and ability to function rationally into question.

I'm glad I've never stolen from a vape shop. The humiliation would be too much to bear.
