People forget that MadTV was like 90% chaff that relied too heavily on recurring characters with annoying catchphrases, but when it was good, it was good.
Still better overall than SNL which has been unwatchable for over 20 years.
My favorite thing about MadTV was how it was supposed to do appeal to a more diverse audience. So how did they do that? By not being afraid to do racial sketches that SNL wouldn't touch, among other things. Offensive portrayals of every race are enjoyed by all.

MadTV parodied the idea of a Struggle Session pretending to be a comedy while SNL slowly became an actuall Struggle Session pretending to be comedy.

That's my Jim Nortonesque centrist opinion.

MadTV was terrible. Are we pretending it wasn't now?

Like any sketch show it could be hit and miss but I thought it was a great show.

I'm sorry, this has nothing to do with Opie and Anthony, so nobody vote or comment on this post unless you want a ban

Better than "old SNL" from 15 years ago

Bobby Lee is a treasure.
Dude is naturally funny.... Same with Will Sasso. These current SNL people don't have 1/100th the talent.

No doubt. The entire comedic premise of Miss Swan was "isn't it funny that this lady is asian?"
Also Sniggers, of course

to be fair though, that was fucking awful.
1 Spokker 2019-04-16
That's not fair.

Back when Booby Lee used to walk with the suitcase of pills for every occasion.

Sucks that MadTV got canceled.
They made the biggest mistake trying to be more like SNL when they moved to Fox.
The show became worse overall, and it went down hill.
RIP. MadTV was the shit.
