I listened to the first one and then the one Carl talks about his divorce when they went to a seafood restaurant with Vic. At times Carl was trying to have a moment with Opie talking about losing everything and Opie just ignores him and starts reviewing the shrimp he's eating. Which would be intentionally funny if Opie was doing it on purpose, but it's clear he's just a socially autistic ass.
Judging by the view counts on Opie's Youtube channel. The Opester is not putting up the numbas. Although, all of Opie's audience is old men. So they might not watch on You tube.
Very few of Opie's podcasts break 1,000 views on You tube. He has a podcast that he posted a month ago that only has 479 views...
I had no idea any of it was on Youtube and the only ones with numbahs are apparently the one where's he's calling out Joe Rogan and the Bill Burr appearance.
I just noticed that the other day. I know Ope is cripplingly untalented, but <500 views on every video he posts is humiliating for someone who thought he was Stern's equal. Maybe it'll start to sink in.
I don't know. But his numbers have gone down. When he first started putting the videos up, he was averaging over 3,000 views. Now, he is under 1,000. So, he's clearly not gaining new fans.
Again, for a YouTube of an audio podcast, when there are like 20 ways to watch it without using the YouTube interface, which is horrible for audio. I listen on Spotify.
I'm not saying he's burning up the charts, I'm just saying looking at YouTube numbers is meaningless. The decline could just as easily be based on people finding more convenient ways to listen.
Id start somewhere after episode 30. Opie gets better at it after a while. At some point he hits a stride though and all his new stuff is good. I listen to all of them. I don't post excerpts cause no one seems to care here so. And maybe rightly so
The show is hit or miss. You definitely notice Opie interrupting during good moments still. He does have some episodes that are really good though. Overall it’s a decent pod. Not many laughs to be had though, and the cringey attempts to make an ongoing theme funny are uncomfortable.
No, I tried listening but He tried to interview someone with a dog barking non stop for 20 mins in the background. It's so bad no one can even hate listen hence then I hate posts
The sound editing is atrocious, not helped by the fact they often shoot in crowded places. The show's essence is the aging and insipid men attempting to balance boomer tier jocularity with feigned wisdom on a wide range of mundane topics. It really isn't a good show.
That having been said, it's only 'just' bad and boring, if that makes any sense. It isn't as grating as Jim & Sam or the Anthony Cumia Show, because expectations for Opie were never high. AntH and Worm had to actively go out of their way to create uninteresting, unfunny shows, completely ignoring what their fanbase wanted from them whilst they were trying to milk and scam them. Opie at least managed to get a tiny niche of mildly interested middle aged dads; instead of aiming for wrestling and porn fans, or right leaning partisans stupid enough to pay a prescription for a single 'pundit' instead of watching the other hundreds online for free.

Opie sucks at radio. But, in his old age he may be a righteous old regular dude doing well for his family. Better than whatever his old pals are doing as old men.
Breuer went on talking about his dad dying I guess. Despite his rock and roll dad persona I still like Bruer and think he’s a great dude and that he was very funny back in the day. You guys are evil for being ruthless to that man, he’s just a good person
I haven't found Breuer funny for quite a while, his Christmas song was terrible and he comes across as pretty dumb and uninformed a lot of the time (which is fine, comedians don't have to be smart).
He does seem like a really good guy though who is probably fun to hang out with in person.
How many times you guys think Ant had a gathering and invited Opie, only to end with "Bring the wife and kids" insuring that the brothaman will never risk his family even to repair a relationship with the ghoul.

The Opester keeps leveling up.

He's out of the Cumia business. Growing and moving on, brothaman.

Is anyone on this sub listening to Opie's podcast? I never see anyone post any excerpts...
Probably missing out on a lot of laughs.

Vic was instant non listen for me when he was on Sirius. Idc how free Gregg talks are
1 Phkna1 2019-04-15
Actually, Opie being an insensitive ass and not giving a shit while stupid Carl pours his heart out sounds fucking hilarious.
1 bonniesretardsister 2019-04-15
I said it was unintentionally funny. He apologized for asking Vic if he liked his shrimp.
1 Phkna1 2019-04-15
I just want anyone to be mocking Carl's pain.
