If O&A were still around today, what sci-if authors would you want to see on the show?

Personally I think da' boys would have done a great interview with Brian Herbert, the son of Frank Herbert, the author of of Dune. With the highly anticipated movie coming out next year, this interview would surely be intriguing and entertaining!

What other sci-fi authors would you have liked to see on the show gang?!

Master of science fiction Jordan Peele

I'm not sure who I'd want to see, but I bet Anth would seek out this exciting new sci fi author I was reading about, named Patrick. Apparently they share many of the same inappropriate, minor-oriented sexual preferences.

Wasn't that the guy who wrote the book about this race of rat-like lizard aliens who lived on a bunch of different planets, but one intergalactic dictator rounded them all up onto spaceships that flew into the closest star?

Yes! I remember, it was called "The hilarious sci-fi allegory for Something we need to do for real" it was a weird fucking book

I dont thi k the remake will be all its cracked up to be. Even with Villeneuve on board. Blade Runner 2049 was not that good. Hopefully he does use the same Cinematographer. Think its Roger Deakins?

I hope you are wrong but I fear you may not be. Dune is a complicated story with a rich universe, much like Game of Thrones. As such, I feel Dune would be better told as a TV show like Game of Thrones, instead of trying to condense everything into a 2 hour movie. Even if they only plan to tell the first half of the first book in the first movie, I am afraid it will be difficult to make people care.

I hope so also. Look how amped up people thought Jordowsky's was going to be. It's too complex, like you said. I dont see how it can be worked into a 3 hour movie.
