It's like he's trying to do it off the cuff or something. He didn't tell any actual jokes, just talked about his political beliefs. If someone from the audience got called to the stage with no preparation I bet they could have done a better set than this.

I think I can see what he’s doing here. All the aesthetics are there, the mic, the brick background, the audience, everything points to a comedy show. He just needs to tell a joke.
