Meanwhile, you’ve managed to resist the temptation to snort cocaine for the past 35 years, and you go to NA meetings every 8 hours to talk about how you’re not snorting coke, and you bore all your friends by constantly bringing up the fact that you haven’t touched coke in decades.
You could reason with yourself, “well I’ve done such a good job avoiding coke, I think I’ll eat sixteen pizzas as a reward.” But here’s the plot twist: you’re not interested in cocaine at all. You never were. You have no cravings for it whatsoever and never did. That’s a neat trick. A pretty clever way to lie to yourself and everyone around you.
