Why does Joe allow Anthony to mock and humiliate him?

Whenever Anthony mentioned Joe on the show it was to bring up Joe's past criminal behavior or make fun of his old bands. I can't remember him compliment beyond the generic "Joe is a really good guitarist." Anthony also seemed genuinely annoyed when he found out that Joe was doing his own podcast. Like the very idea that Joe thought he could do what Anthony does was a offensive to Anthony.

Joe seems pretty prideful. I don't know why he would put up with constantly being undermined and demeaned by a pipsqueak like Anthony. Maybe it's for the money but I think Joe knows that if he just demanded the money from the deal, Ant wouldn't put up a fight.
It doesn't make much sense to me.

Look at Worldstar or videos from Africa on liveleak to understand why the Cumias act like they do.

I"m looking on Worldstar for the reaction from Joe once he reads and understands this post

I think it's mainly humility, seeing the bigger picture, and deciding to take the high road. Joe Cumia, father of four, also fathered the Opie and Anthony Show. He served in the armed forces with distinction, he posesses many talents, and is generally a good guy who doesn't sweat the small stuff.

Permanently Suspended probably contains a host of stories that Anthony has never told before that speak highly of Joe

The same reason we all suck up to the boss.
