At first, I was joking about Patton murdering his wife but the theory is really gaining steam. This has the same vibe as the jokes about bruce jenner transistioning.
I think McNamara had that hybristophilia gene which is a fascination, love, and arousal based on serial killers. So consciously or, more likely in my opinion, unconsciously she was drawn to Patton because he gave off those psycho killer pheromones or whatever it is. It makes too much sense to not have some element of truth to it.
I've always suspected that as a population comedians and actors have a higher saturation of psychopaths amidst their ranks. They have a need to manipulate and charm that is off the scales. They have the ability to be entirely malleable emotionally and they are adept in repeating these routines that mimic natural human conversational tones despite having repeated the same lines of dialogue hundreds of time. And think of the stereotype of a successful actor or comedian who runs through lovers and employees like so many pairs of used socks and treat service employees like retarded animals.
There's a reason the me too shit started in Hollywood and has affected so many comics. Bill Cosby is the prototypical psychopath. And I'm sure Patton grew up revering Cosby and emulating him.
I don't think that any of us are asserting that we know Patton killed his wife, but the circumstances were very suspect and the fact that there was no apparent investigation or questions asked by the authorities or the media left a void in the center of that story. It seems pretty certain that Patton would've had knowledge that his wife was taking dangerous cocktails of extremely potent drugs both prescription and illicit. And Patton has talked a lot about his own drug use so it's not like he coming from a place of ignorance.
If nothing else his apparent indifference to his wife's toxic drug habit seems reckless especially given that they had a very young daughter. It's not just dangerous to the wife, but the kid would also be in constant jeopardy every time mom drove the daughter to school or walked the kid to the store. If I was him I would've been in a constant state of stress when those two were out of my sight and I'm sure I would've had to have a nanny or bodyguard glued to their hip 24/7 if I wasn't there. To not take those kinds of practical steps strikes me, at least, as asking for tragedy. And this is assumimg Patton wasn't loaded 24/7 himself.
Thank you. I get that I am connecting some dots that might not necessarily need to be connected but I do think that my theory has some value and needed to be explicated because there's something off and creepy about Patton's role in his wife's very untimely demise.
I'm all for people poking holes in my logic but the pile is not moved forward when the piranhas of this subreddit just take a bite out of my ass and add nothing of value to the conversation.
You're off base with the comedian/psychopath angle, but I'll grant that the similarities are striking and meaningful. But really comedians have a weak sense of self, and it leads them to shallow, degenerate lifestyles.

No good husband would. I would stay in the same room as my wife if she was taking strong sedatives. Even if he didn't personally spike her apple juice, he knew his wife was a pill popper and supported her habit. But hey, who am I to judge, I've never needed to move a mistress into the main house on short notice before.
Combined drug intoxication (CDI) AKA multiple drug intake (MDI) is an easy road to go down especially if those close to you feed you that little bit extra when you are almost there.
Combined drug intoxication (CDI), also known as multiple drug intake (MDI) or lethal intoxication, is an unnatural cause of human death. CDI is often confused with drug overdose, but it is a different phenomenon. It is distinct because it is due to the simultaneous use of multiple drugs, whether the drugs are prescription, over-the-counter, recreational, or some other combination. Alcohol can exacerbate the symptoms and may directly contribute to increased severity of symptoms.
It's nearly impossible to overdose off xanax alone. You'd have to eat shit load of it, or mix it with something in order for it to become lethal. Definitely foul play.
I remember a really creepy photo of him sitting down and out with some award crying about his wife's death. Then some autist from here carefully analyzed how he staged that picture for attention.
Office Space is an inner-circle "that guy" movie with that deep roster of incredible character actors. With the exception of Jennifer Anniston, there weren't really any lead actor-types or actors with limited acting chops. Every single role is inhabited by an actor who you recognize from five other films. Fucking Stephen Root and John McGinley are the perfect examples. Those guys are money in everything from No Country for Old Men to Scrubs.
i said probably. and the audience did howl at the punchline (i gave a link to the set in this comment string), and since it's unlikely that even most of them view this place, it would be fair to say this meme is pretty widespread. so he could have gotten it from anywhere, but the art and joke craft on the subject from here is some of the best anywhere
The old "just following the crowd" excuse. Mullen would've been a trustee in the concentration camps tattling on skinny bitches for stealing an extra plate of puddle water.
The more I think about it, the more I think Tom Myers has your number, pal. You're like Dr. Frankenstein inciting a crowd with torches and pitchforks to run down the forlorn monster you created. Yes, Tom Myers has a bizarrely retreating hairline and bolts in his neck as a result of an emergency bong hit transplant but that doesn't mean he buttfucks the villagers while you're not watching.
Lol. It sucks because it’s like, Patton is such a nice guy and has helped me out a lot personally. He was a huge inspiration when I started, i really like the guy. But it’s so god damn funny to accuse him of killing his wife

Well the Patton Oswald wife thing always seemed suspicious, even from the beginning it was suspicious. Suddenly your relatively healthy wife is dead, it takes a lot of drugs to kill an adult. I'd say 50/50 this picture is reality.
