I actually argue that this lie wasn’t his most harmless - I think it is the perfect crystallization of his delusion and arrogance. The lie itself may be harmless but shows how dangerously out of touch with reality he is. He thinks he’s smart enough to put one over on others he sees as less intelligent and bases that false sense of superiority on worthless accomplishments like the publication of pointless, valueless books that satisfy no one, barely sell and will be forgotten before he’s even dead.
He’s more delusional than Tony “I’ve been called sexy” Two-Shirts. People this ugly shouldn’t be constantly posting pictures of themselves in the first place but every picture of him also looks like he’s thinking “yeah fans, I know I’m insanely handsome and cool; what can you do? 😏”
