I saw Jim open up for Dice twice through O&A a long time ago. Once in the Hammerstine Ballroom (I think) and then the big show at the (Olive) Garden in NYC. I will admit to thinking he was funny back then, but my wife bought me tickets to see Jim for my birthday 2 years ago, and it was the same act 15 years later. No growth at all and painful to sit through. I also got to see Kelsey Cook and her garage door opener live.

I remember this one post I made where I watched his latest netflix special, maybe got a forced chuckle or two, and then posted to the sub that I wanted to "do my part" and would watch any Jimmy or Colin netflix special just to "help the numbers".

I couldn't even lie to the sub and say it was funny. Just that I was doing my part to help the numbers. At least I can sleep tight knowing I didn't donate to the $60k.

Back in 08 when I loved jimmy, I went to see his standup live.... I had never seen it before and let’s just say that was the beginning of me not liking Jim. It was sub par, very forced and only relevant if you had kept up with celebrity news over the past couple of months.

His live standup was fucking horrible and I remember being really surprised at the time. Thought he would be decent after hearing him on the radio.

Much of his act was just rehashed radio bits which is ironic because it wasn’t funny... the rest was recent celebrity gossip. And blinking.

I went to see him when he filmed his special in cleveland. My wife bought me the tickets because I was an oanda fan. I didn't laugh once. It was fucking awful. Bobo sat right next to me, so I guess that was a plus.

When O&A was still on, I tried to watch one of Jimmy's stand up specials and was disappointed at how bad he was. I thought he was useless on his own and needed someone else to play jokes off of...until he started doing radio with Sam.

I cant say he made me laugh once when I saw it back in 2015ish. He did a chip character at the end and everyone ate it up so what do i know. He made one joke that got everyone to laugh in his 40-60 min set. Maybe a few guffaws at other points but cant really remember. Ive seen vos's standup before too, his isnt good but him doing crowd work is hysterical. He roasted the shit out of some dumb nj housewife. She was the sacrificial lamb for our laughter.

What ever rubes donated to this deserved what they got, the pilot he put up was fucking awful and i loved chip at the time.

Just had a flashback to watching this when it 'debuted' and being literally shocked by how awful it was. I was expecting the kind of sub-mediocrity you get from people who don't like animation but do it anyway (e.g. Jonah Hill's Allen Gregory) but this was so much worse than I expected.

RIP to all of those Trucker's paychecks.
