I think DJ was a fantastic, energetic, entertaining fighter and a classy champion who was a good ambassador for MMA and UFC. He won fights easily and decisively, defended his title many times, and in my opinion ranks very highly amongst the greatest fighters of all time.

He loses one fucking fight, by decision, and now he's basically thrown out, along with the other Flyweights, like a baby with the bathwater.

Now? Flyweight is pretty much kaput, and Cejudo is alone in the Cejudoweight class.

This shit is fucked up.

Mighty Mouse deserves a main-event rematch with Cejudo immediately. It would be their trilogy.

But Dana White won't renegotiate this poor little mug's contract, because he has too much clout and would command too much money.

Also Dana hates Flyweights almost as much as he hates female fighters.

Sure, he'll tolerate it, if the money's right. But as soon as it's prudent, this bastard seals them all away, alive, in crypts that they can't claw their way out of.

Flyweight was not ready and a bad idea in general. The other athletic career for someone that small is horse Jockey. The talent pool was too shallow to presented at a world stage. Thats why he was so dominant. He was also an ueducated dork and not very likeable and boring. He was proud of the latest stoppage possible instead of aiming for the fastest. He was overall a net loss.

I think smaller weight classes need to fight in a smaller cage like wec used to do. Shorter referees are also needed.
