Really though there are good reasons for not using "homosexual" to describe people like Michael. Apparently at least some pedophiles are also attracted to normal adults. It is completely it's own thing and the causes and drives of homosexual pedophilia are completely different and unrelated to the causes and drives of "standard" homosexuality. i was thinking about this recently, something about it was shocking but i couldn't put my finger on it. nothing wrong with insulting and denigrating pedophilia, but i think the use of the formal phrase 'homosexual' makes it sound medical, pathological. like being a 'homosexual' is some kind of tragic disorder, the sufferer of such a disorder should be both pitied and treated for their defect and treated as a public harm. saying that even in the 90s is dangerously old school conservative.
