The Ides of March

Spring is in the air, the northeast is warming up. The Brothermen are waking up and kissing their beautiful wives, making coffee and wiping the pee off the seat with their socks. Fishing tackle is ordered, and new monofilament is added to the reels. It's gonna be a fantastic summer in The Hamptons. Meanwhile in Nassau County The Cumia Brothers wake up to loose alcohol shits and hangovers. Overdue bills on the kitchen counter. The money is drying up, the internet trolls are winning and the end is near.

Speaking of the Ides of March, I know it came out like 15 years ago but just got round to watching HBO's Rome. What a great show.

I’ve watched the wire sopranos game of thrones boardwalk empire loved them all. Is the writing in Rome up to par with some of those shows. I’ve been meaning to check it out for a while.

Nothing's as good as the Sopranos but I really enjoyed what I've seen so far. Season 1 is basically Julius Caesar's coup d'état up to his assassination but it's partly told from the point of view of two of his soldiers, based on real historical figures. I love that period so am maybe not an impartial judge.

Really? Must be on season 2. Just good old-fashioned cunt poking on season 1.

Loved that show. Would have been more seasons if the production wasn't so damn expensive.

The History Buffs episode on Rome is really good too. Most of them are.
