The evidence is there. If you look closely, as the money has dried up, Joe works a lot more and posts about Ant far less. I wouldn't be surprised if the allowance has dwindled.
When Ant has brought up Joe it's to mock his show or whatever. According to Erock they nearly came to blows at Ro's funeral over credit for those parody songs. Joe hardly visits since Ro died.
After listening to the interview again I noticed when Jon mentions “the compound”, AKA Nana’s basement, Joe slips in “I haven’t been there in a while”. Therefore you are entirely correct.
Anthony resents Joe because he's too much of a coward to stop paying him the 50k. Deep down, though, he knows that Joe is at least partially right when he says that he helped found O&A. If Joe wasn't dragging Anthony around, he would still be knocking tin because he has no drive of his own.
Knowing Joe, I'm sure he thinks he should have been the one doing the show with Opie. Joe is one of the biggest narcissists I've ever seen. There is no way he doesn't think that he is more funny and intelligent than Anthony. He resents Anthony's success but his entire public person was built around Anthony's identity. If he didn't mooch off of Anthony, he would be virtually unknown.
How does it feel knowing the legacy you will leave behind will be having been the foremost historian of the Cumia clan? Ant should have hired you as his biographer.
He literally would. He's so deep now into the Cumia lives he could probably get a book deal with some edgy publisher like Feral House if he kept some humor in it.
