To be fair, at least they were talking about a huge pop culture event and it was a show that the audience actually liked. A far cry from Opie and Opie Jr. dishing on the Kardashians and the Morning Mashup several years down the road.
It's funny how people hated the show at the time, but now believe it's the best show ever. Season 6A was all over the place in quality, what with the fag plot and filler episodes. 6B was better and everything was on the line; with major characters being taken out.
Also, it was Opie who influenced Anthony to hate the therapy scenes as far back as Season 3. Ant even thought that Gloria was an undercover fed. I wish there was a compilation video of all Sopranos discussions on O&A.
The frustration over the ending has given way to an appreciation, as discussed on O&A in 2012.
