A lot of Hollywood relationship are contrived. I know for a fact those kids from the Twilight movies weren't a couple, it was all drummed up for publicity so little girls would get caught up in the gossip and get even more feverish for the franchise. I grew up with Michael Angarano's sister and him and Kristen Stewart were dating the entire time they were making those movies.
