I just wanna have an interesting convo in my sub with my great friends and quite frankly, it’s deficated to a defunct radio show featuring 3-4 people that no one likes so who gives a fuck amiright? I was just thinking about how everyone claims to hate YouTube. Right wingers say they’re persecuted on it, far left wingers say it’s too mean and racist, YouTubers themselves (even big ones) seem to have several new complaints about the rules and advertising every single week. Plus they’re just been straight booting people from the platform which feels like the beginning of the end. It just seems like everyone kinda hates the platform but is prisoner to it. I’m wondering if there’s any alternatives? I’ve always been a fan of daily motion but for some reason it never really pops off. And how come no rich people launch a viable competitor and just pay guys like pewdipie, Rogan, Peterson, Logan Paul and people like that to make their platform exclusive? I feel like in the past few years I’ve noticed YouTube and Facebook have garnered a tremendous amount of ill will and I’m very confident that Facebook will have a MySpace moment where it goes belly up and just becomes a social media website for Indian men to jerk off and maga aunts to post memes. This is possible because there’s competition for them, but YouTube just seems like it’s got no one else to worry about and i find that strange. I know a lot of you go deep with the YouTube, we even have a legendary documentarian in Beige Frequency and also 2015-2019 “personality of the year” the very handsome, relevant, hilarious, and non lisping Sayanz. Also don’t forget Terry Cliffords boy! I’d love to hear some insight from those guys and anyone else who would like to chime in. It’s “serious Saturday’s” fellas.

Good to know. What’s it all about? Is it basically just an uploading site? Is it official or does it have a Wild West vibe to it? Like when YouTube first started people paid no mind to copywrite laws and you could just about find anything. Does it have that vibe or is it actually legitimate and attempting to come after YT? Are any big name people using the platform yet? Porn on it?

It's way more open. A lot of the more fringe folks from YT either mirror or just left to go to bitchute. There's a lot of content that I'd assume wouldn't fly on YouTube in 2019 for a variety of reasons. It's decentralized and way more open. Go look.

I will gladly admit I’m not up on YouTube. Im an old person who still prefers old media like consoles and television. I also wasn’t suggesting that Joe Rogan and Pewdipie have the capital or should start their own platform. I was saying that someone should start a platform and sign people like that to exclusive deals

It's easier said than done. Cumia is a fool for placing himself behind a paywall, but there are so many factors involved. How do you make money doing it?
Who is rich enough to support it financially? How does a right wing guy keep sponsors in this environment when lefties target sponsors to silence dissent? How will pirating and warez benefit but also detract from their making money? Is anyone willing to lose money doing this?
The safest bet would be finding someone like Alex Jones and trying to link him up with other likeminded collectives and organizations to create a circuit network that can be decentralized but strong enough to attack corporate media.
In the comedy vein, it's a shame that someone hasn't tried to convince Rogan, Cumia, Luis J Gomez, Robert Kelly, etc. to merge their studios and create a mega-company influence in podcasting that is run by the performers, created directly for the viewers, with the executive middle-men cut out completely.

You raise some good ideas and points but starting a company with Alex Jones as the tip of your spear doesn’t sound Like the greatest idea. Might wanna go more in the Joe Rogan/PewdiPie direction to start. Maybe even make a wild splash and offer Louis CK a platform. I get what you’re saying about sponsors but my idea would to just use the formula that got YouTube popular in the first place: just don’t censor anyone unless they’re promoting violence or child porn or any of the other 3rd rail things that 99% of human beings agree is bad. Slowly but surely Build a site that has a user friendly layout, lure the most popular uploaders to Your side with healthy payouts (if YouTube is offering 1 cent per click, offer 2). Make your mission statement extremely clear that the site promotes absolute freeedom of speech and set as little rules as possible on it. It’s a field of dreams “if you build it they will Come” scenario. Every single person I see or hear about on YouTube fucking hates it there. They’re all just waiting for something else to come along where they can make money. It seems like all YT wants to promote these days is polished, cookie cutter, non contraversial, brain dead garbage. Let both the left and right know that they can come to your platform, make a shit ton of money and say what they wanna say. I truly feel like we’ve already passed the SJW apex and the the pendulum is actually starting to swing the other way now.

Alex would be the guy to do it with. He's been wrongly banned from the surface level of the internet, which gives him the right to say that he is a censored individual persecuted. With the Rogan appearance, in a way he proves he was innocent of the claims, even the dumbest of people will eventually see that the way he explains it.. They delete him from YouTube so now everytime you search his name, it's ALL negative hit pieces. People will understand being left out, persecuted and having the game fixed against them like that. Even liberals will see it eventually, because it's the obvious truth.
Rogan has listeners but he can't deliver anything worth listening to. It's MMA garbage and Pot Talk nonsense. Alex is actually compelling, entertaining, gets attention, he evokes a reaction from the internet that no single person ever has. I've never seen someone go viral the way he does, with people who love him, hate him, and have no idea who he is, standing side by side and enjoying his explosions. If there is going to be a true "star" of the internet for this major infancy of the platform being the replacement for radio, TV, film, etc. it's going to be Alex Jones or someone like Alex Jones.

Alex is a great person to have on your roster (I especially think the Latest Rogan appearance will do massive good for His cause), but you’re living on a different planet if you think that a platform who wants to compete with YouTube should use him as the face of the company. First of all, he doesn’t even get a quarter of the views as people like Rogan and PewdiPie. So right off the bat you need someone who’s gonna bring numbers. Obviously you really like Jones and don’t particularly like Rogan but in this case I’m Gonna just call it needing “quantity over quality”. You need a few massive and respected names to come over where other creators will see it and follow suit. Honestly guys like PewdiPie and H3H3 would be the best.....Jones is the perfect side show though, where people can look at what’s up and whether they love him or hate him they’ll say to themselves “oh wow they got Alex Jones on here”

I hate Rogan but no, I don't "really like" Jones, I happen to understand the subject you're publicly and openly pondering about, and I'm explaining to you the best way possible for what you're fantasizing about to take place. You honestly believe that people would care about Joe Rogan starting a network? He already tried it. There's zero fucking heat there. People watch Rogan because it's easy, free, directly available on YouTube, and he gets huge name guests. It's straightforward, simple, it exists plainly. Nobody is going to an official website or another device especially for Rogan. His newfound fame is the result of being easily available on a wide open interface (youtube)
What you are describing (an alternative to YouTube) would require a draw, personality, and character behind it. They make some money by combining your video likes with the rest of your Google profile to guide their advertising; but I think the only real reason YouTube's still around is to hold the video market for head office.
