I spoke to Ding Dong, or whatever her name was shortly after they left. I said I was a casual fan of their show. She explained to me that a patreon method makes the most sense because whatever 90% of casual fans can listen for free and the 10% of hardcore fans will donate to keep it going.
Lets be honest we'd get Ant kicked off Youtube so fast. Still he could still post highlight clips and host it elsewhere and still do way better than a shitwall.
How about a free month for new subs so they can see if they actually like it? It's so transparent (Trans? Hahaha!!! Holy shit!!!) he needs the money from it more than he needs to try and grow it.
They forget that the listeners hold all the cards. Especially if you hide behind a paywall. They probably make more off subscribers that forgot they are getting auto renewed.
