I’d be fine with it if it weren’t clearly entirely cynical. Why pretend to like Opie at this point just to show how much you hate Ant. But yes he has moved on although he should probably retire and move one form the podcast.
Why should Opie move on from his podcast? It's not advertised anywhere that I've seen, and it's not hilariously bad enough to be entertaining for anyone here to tear apart. To me it's like Larry King -- the guy retired and now that he's set up for life he just does his own little show and interviews who he wants. It doesn't have the reach of the original show, but the activity itself is probably keeping Larry alive and happy.
The podcast is basically a retirement gift Opie got for himself. Opie has his show where he sits at the end of the table with his stockholm syndrome friends and has Facebook dad-style conversations with them. Once Opie stopped being a lord of shock and cringe, he managed to embarrass himself the least in the aftermath. I won't listen to his show, I but do wish him the best in the end.
