This is a little Alex Jones, but I wouldn't be surprised if Smollett pulls in Kamala Harris.

I cannot even imagine the fallout from a scandal like that.

I hope so just for the Trump tweets.

He's a real life, black gay version of Owen Wilson's character from Inherent Vice.

She absolutely did that shit, but she's the establishment favorite for president. "Scandal" is impossible.
At a similar moment in his career Ted Kennedy probably raped and definitely murdered a girl—and not even her parents gave a fuck. It increased his popularity among women voters.
We're not good people and we're ruled by monsters.

What she do?

She cosponsored a mostly symbolic bill that makes lynching it’s own category of federal hate crime.
I say symbolic, because in most of the very rare lynching cases that ever come up state law covers it sufficiently.
Smollett appeared at a rally with her within the last few months, so the conspiracy is that she and other politicians were in on it, but I think it’s far more likely he acted alone, given how the bill was likely going to pass anyway and he did such a botched job of faking it.

I heard passed in mid-december, two weeks before the "attack". Please note that I've done exactly fuck-all to verify that claim because I literally could not care less. But I thought you should know somebody on the internet said something.

It could've been staged to make quick use of that new law for bigger purposes.

Mmm... I like that, which probably means it's bullshit. Nonetheless, I subscribe to this bullshittery.

The establishment is way out of touch with dem voters if she’s the fav, but I see why, she’s a centrist cop in a multi-culti candy coating.
That lynching bill was going to pass the Senate anyway (it already had enough Republicans before the stunt); and the new house was sure to pass it too. That bill had been kicking around the Hill for decades, in various forms; I think it’s far more likely that Smollett did it to be a “hero” without Kamala or any other politicians’ go ahead, in part because if higher ups were involved it would have been better executed. The dude went rogue, I think, and actors are dumb.
Regardless, I hope there’s a full investigation and everything comes to light.

That last line is one of the most honest things I've read in years.

Her tweet about it is enough to disqualify her from becoming president. She was the favorite, but the money's probably already jumping ship.
