"Often overlooked or unmentioned in the motives assigned to Ruby as to why he murdered Oswald was that Ruby saw himself as a protector of his fellow Jews. When Rabbi Silverman visited Ruby in prison, Ruby told him it wasn’t just patriotism that motivated him: 'I did it for the Jewish people,' he told the rabbi."
Interesting how Oliver Stone's JFK, which gets touted as a film that examines all of the conspiracy angles, leaves out that element. Perhaps it's because it's producer, Arnon Milchan, was an Israeli intelligence operative and arms dealer. Milchan, coincidentally enough, was investigated after it became known that one of his companies was involved in illegally smuggling Krytron nuclear triggers.
Ruby was a crazy person. Most of what he said to the Dallas police after that was incoherent ranting, sometimes to people that weren't even there. If you go through his life, you'll see that there was no point for him to be involved with some nefarious conspiracy. He just one of those friendly idiots who blindly love their country and got all emotional after Oswald killed JFK
It's not the same perspective, the characters and background characters look nothing like the real ones, no part of it seems quintessential Stone, it's not funny...
It's more a parody of the Stone film, not the actual event. The nuances in the film are about as subtle as a brick to the face, which I think this scene captures. Newman yelling out "omg he's been shot, right on TV!" is some of the gayest shit on film.
It's also a fucking cartoon, within a cartoon at that
I still love that movie though. The idea of a bunch of gay, Cuban sympathizing fascists who get together for faggot orgies where they spray themselves in gold paint and watch old footage of Nazi youth exercising then decide to kill JFK is just too funny not to love.

There is some speculation that part of why Kennedy got popped was because of his insistence on investigating Israel's nuclear program.
