Napoleon Dynamite is probably one of the only indie comedies from the 2000's that still holds up with repeated viewings. Jared Hess and the rest of the actors knew how to take the material and just naturally play off of it without ever trying too hard unlike any studio or indie comedy would today. Hell, I even thought the short-lived animated series was pretty good. Much better than Bobs Burgers or the rest of the MacFarlane shitfests they are airing now.
Bob's Burgers always struck me as a real shame because it really has the groundwork for a great animated show, having like half of its voice actors and writers coming from amazing past projects like Home Movies and Aqua Teen but it barely even comes close. at least HJB is getting work i guess.
