Also, a lot of less degenerate, wealthy people use the long spoons and other tools to snort to the back of their throats to avoid the septum. Meth heroin will erode your nose faster than coke.
A lot of people do not realize if you perforate deep enough the lining of the septum, it never heals. My cousing has this from living in the desert and getting dry nose sores over the years. You get constant nagging scabs that you are compelled to blow or pick out resulting in bleeding and more scabbing.

I think it’s the heroin. Not that powdered H is more corrosive, but an opiate addict is likely to use a ton more and more consistently than most chronic cocaine users. Most of the “8 ball a day” Wall Street types don’t actually keep that pace up day in and day out, whereas a chronic opiate snorter will (provided he doesn’t OD), not allowing the nasal tissue to heal once it’s compromised.
