Resting Faggot face

MRW the doctor uses an alcohol pad on my arm before giving me a shot.

His standup has always been absolute shit. He will always just be a 3rd guy at best for radio. And not even a cool #3 option like Dennis Rodman. Just some hacky faggot.

I remember ages ago when I was just starting to get into the O&A show. Saw his stand up on youtube and thought “Oh shit, little jimmy norton. He can’t be too bad”.

I got 10 minutes in and realised he has no soul in his eyes. He constantly has the deer in the headlights look. And when it comes to comedy acts I take that to mean the act more than anything is worried the crowd will hate them. It didn’t help that his jokes fucking drag and he relies on that “I’m more vile and disgusting than any of you” thing.

Most stand ups do this shit. It's why i dislike the format so much.

It’s hard to admit but I’m starting to like standup less and less also. The spontaneity of O and A could sometimes make you double over in laughter (w Patrice). Standup is just really hard to make work. And they are all doing like a special every year.

Comics who 'act things out'/make zany faces annoy me, I enjoy the art of the words (maaaaan).

& my schizo mother would get infront of the TV & act out the day's delusions with dramatics & exaggerated faces, so it troubles me a bit.

Most comics who are animated only do it because they've been told to by some low-rent manager.

Boy he is shit...ugh

Is this from his current I SUCK COCKS HAHA GET IT IM A FAGGOT HAHA!!!! tour? Worm always has the most clever names for his acts.

His stand up was never good.

Jim is on a commercial on Comedy Central for some bullshit.

He is trying to be cute and endearing. I hate him.

I like it because then you know when to laugh

I also hate when standups do silly voices as a substitute for jokes, especially when it's not an impression, it's just some silly voice they came up with. Louis CK was getting really bad for that, his one special he goes on for like 3 fucking minutes doing an impression of himself in a silly scared woman voice because he called a company to remove a bat from his house. And it's even worse since the whole story was almost definitely made up in the first place.

He admitted that his stories are often completed made up. Kinda ruined it for me. I know comedians exaggerate or change things but cmon. Makes you wonder what stories and distracts from the experience.

In general, if all of the humour in a bit revolves around a story of someone doing something wacky, then it's not funny. I don't care if the story is made up if the situation in it is relatable, or reaches some kind of punchline. But just "the CRAZIEST thing happened to me the other day" stories suck in stand up, and in IRL.

I tend to agree. It works in real life if it’s a good story. Just like clever one liners are actually funny in real life but generally cringey on sitcoms. Because you know 12 people spent 6 days polishing up the joke and shoe horning it in.
