I didn’t realize that they call that rule so liberally now. Brady throws a pass to an RB and guy gets nailed and they said it was a hit on a defenseless player. No, it was a suicide pass. That’s not the defenseman’s problem. He’s just supposed to let that pass happen and wait for the runner to straight arm him?
I’m trying to find a replay of it and it looks like the NFL scrubbed it. It’s a perfect example of football being ruined. You take an inherent risk playing pro football. Trying to put rules in to stop regular football plays is going to continue to make the game boring. I’m not trying to watch flag football.
