There is some truth to that. But it's not easier than on the street. In some ways, of course, it is more difficult. Especially for prisoners who must submit to mandatory testing. He can definitely still get drugs, but it's also an opportunity to get a head start of sorts on getting clean. I just don't think he wants to. Numbers show there is a higher success rate in prison when it comes to beating addiction, especially when he can surround himself with people who want to help and have next to nothing else to do.

When i was doing heroin i ran out of money and did the cold turkey withdrawal. It was so fucking bad i never wanted to touch the shit again.
