I don't think anybody minds short men as such, but lots of them are hyperactive over-compensators. Especially when they have authority of some sort. I pass through small-town border crossings pretty often, and always wait for the shorty and/or the woman on the other side to be busy before I slip through. Woman's the worst, she short one's at least nice to people his size or smaller.
