"Hollywood lesson in diversity training" oh Joe and his telltale word salad. Shows he obviously just hears things and repeats them without understanding the ideas behind them.
Really Joe? You don’t think mob guys in Newark would be interested in why their city was rioting or how white flight was reshaping the social, political and economic fabric of North Jersey? It’s not like the Sopranos ever touched on or explored the larger issues of 20th Century American life or anything.
Dude do you know who Anthony Imperiale and the Knights of Newark even were? Tony even mentions how he supported them in the show. If you think Italians in Newark gave a flying fuck about civil rights, you’re extremely naive. What are you a half jew half Korean? No wonder you’re all mixed up.
Remember when Tony’s excuse for not going along with Blundetto on that robbery was that a bunch of blacks jumped him? That’s because guys like Tony and his friends fought blacks all the time and I think we know how they feel about moolies. Just like white kids in mixed working class neighborhoods to this day.
Yeah, I wasn’t suggesting that the mob guys would be marching alongside the blacks, just that they’d have an interest. You really seemed to have missed my point.
So despite Hollywood ignoring diversity and hiring a guy's son to play him, Joe invents a scenario where they did not hire the guy's son and instead do ???? in regards to casting Tony Soprano and make the entire movie about civil rights. Then he totally owns them. His idiocy is beyond all fucking words.
Every black person in The Sopranos was a nameless gang member that either got killed or committed a violent crime. David Chase doesn't come off as politically correct.
If so, he was The Shield. If not, there's another black actor in an early golden age 00's show who's a murderer? Its been some years since I last watched The Sopranos.
Oh wow, his episode completely slipped my mind and i like that actor a lot too. I guess since he picked himself up after his prison time is why i blanked on him.
Charles S. Dutton also directed The Corner, a mini-series adaptation of David Simon's non-fictonal novel about the nigger junkies in Baltimore. Its almost a kind of predecessor to The Wire; highly recommended.
Nah, you had the one minister guy who was dirty with the union i think. And his father, didn’t have much screen time though. And Hesh’s wife was a spoon.

The CumiaHs base everything in life through the prism of people's skin color.

I guess you don't remember Massive Genius or the cop played by that actor who's a murderer.
1 WaterFromTheWell 2019-01-23
Are you talking about this guy for the cop: https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0413052/ ?

Yeah, I remember that guy - fucking brutal. But this guy was in the Sopranos https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001165/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Of all people in entertainment David Chase might be among the least likely to push some lefty agenda.
