Nah, never been confirmed to kill humans. I knew a woman who was a nurse in her younger days and in training she had to do a rotation through a mental hospital. There was a guy in there who had had a head injury or a stroke or somesuch, and despite recovering completely in almost all respects, the fuckup had broken something in his brain and he physically couldn't sleep. He was apparently strapped to a chair/bed and flanked by 2 nurses 24/7 because he was constantly trying to kill himself, to the point he swallowed the contents of an ashtray, and all he would do is writhe in his bondage straps repeating the phrase "KILL ME!". A permanent living hell.
So no, it can maybe increase the risks of other shit going wrong, but sleep deprivation on its own wont kill you.
Yeah, I cant even imagine it, he would litterally happily trade places with the worst isis victim. The doctor steves of the world will quietly slip a patient too much morphine if they know they are suffering and want out, and people know the score and its almost never investigated. But because he was in a mental hospital, the entire point of those places is to keep people alive, and if he wound up dead there might be detectives asking questions, he was basically a life sentence prisoner who would only escape when his body finally failed. That shit stayed with me.

There's something so weird about that fucking family. Peterson ate some wheat or something once and claimed he didn't sleep for a month.

Poor bastard. I'd sometimes take way too much ADD meds back in the day and even after 3 days it's like a living hell.
