So I hear a lot of comedians talk about Opie and Anthony being an inspiration for their podcasts but I don’t personally know much about them and never listened when they were on the air. Then I hear Anthony on JRE and figured I’d subscribe to the subreddit and see what’s up.
Every post is just shitting on them, Richter, Burr, The Worm, but apparently Rogan and Louie are good. Lol I assumed this subreddit would be full of fans but either these posts are brutal because that’s the kind of comedy their about (which is fine) or everyone really hates them, which I think is the correct vibe I’m getting.
As I said I may be retarded but could someone explain please, I missed what happened or what they did or whatever caused this shitstorm of hate

it's both. Opie and Anthony's show was kinda like this subreddit; mean. This is not a politically correct sub. You get your assed kicked in here you then brush yourself off and kick someone else's ass. It's like football practice.
I think we generally hate all of them now, but they had their moments. And the fans are great, they created all of these youtube videos so the show can be enjoyed by other autists years after its demise. Dull Opie, Angry Anthony and Tough Guy Jim.
