Opie is the closest thing he could have had to a more prudent and fiancially savvy Detlef Schrempf. So, you really could’t even script a worse husiness model than Compound Media.

Compound Media would have been a good long term plan with every controversial content creator being deplatformed or wallet raped. Anthony has a platform he really can't kicked off of until they go after his hosting or payment processing service. He has next to zero visibility though. The problem was that Anthony put his content behind a paywall for short term gain, not long term preparedness. He probably thought he could ride the gravy train of o&a fan love but that quickly dried up and now he has no way of attracting new fans.
