Opie's most recent podcast episode, a road trip to Rochester, is genuinely great.

Would you tell us if it wasn't?

I would. The podcast certainly had an uneven start, with bad audio and worse chemistry.

You know, occasionally we can say genuine things around here. That doesn't break the rules.

Genuinely.

Great stories of old Buffalo and Rochester days from the Opster. Carl telling stories about his mom pushing pills.

Opie even told a nice story about his wife and kids where his wife sent cookies to Carl, Carl called her to say they were great, and the kids thought it was so cool because Carl is a real chef.

They are really developing a decent banter.

Opie sounds relaxed. Carl sounds happy to be there. Is this peak O&A? No. Is it a million times better than screaming n-word into the void, or making pegging references to C-list celebs and wrestlers? That might be an understatement.

That is what counts as "genuinely great" now?

Low bar

I guess it's listenable when fucking Sherrod isn't screaming around.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Opie is good for a Twitter savaging of tranny fuckers and a manchild but broadcasting isn’t one of his greatest strengths

It's just a hang.. .he doesn't need to be a good broadcaster.
