Hypothesis: Jim Norton has Borderline Personality Disorder

Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) - The DSM Criteria

BPD is a pervasive pattern of instability of interpersonal relationships, self-image, and affects, and marked impulsivity beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by five (or more) of the following:

  1. Frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment. [Not including suicidal or self-mutilating behavior covered in Criterion 5]
  2. A pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation.
  3. Identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self.
  4. Impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging (e.g., spending, promiscuous sex, eating disorders, substance abuse, reckless driving, binge eating). [Again, not including suicidal or self-mutilating behavior covered in Criterion 5]
  5. Recurrent suicidal behavior, gestures, or threats, or self-mutilating behavior.
  6. Affective instability due to a marked reactivity of mood (e.g., intense episodic dysphoria, irritability, or anxiety usually lasting a few hours and only rarely more than a few days)
  7. Chronic feelings of emptiness.
  8. Inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controlling anger (e.g., frequent displays of temper, constant anger, recurrent physical fights).
  9. Transient, stress-related paranoid ideation or severe dissociative symptoms.

Remember, Jim only needs to frequently display five of those nine behaviors to qualify as borderline. We know about his love of trannys (who, themselves, used to be considered extreme cases of BPD--before psychiatry became politically correct), his chaturbate token habit, his cutting. I've often wondered if Jim's characters are a mild form of disassociation or identity disturbance, but I'm less sure of that.

What's say you, gents?

He for sure has a combination of this and narcissistic personality disorder

K.

Textbook case!

Now what to do with such a diagnosis...

Hypothesis: Jim Norton is just an attention seeking narcissist with no actual mental disorders.

He'd love to have a mental disorder, he'd think it'd make him unique.

BPD isnt real.

i say being unfunny with an unfunny faggot on a platform that used to be all about funny is offensive

He's a borderline; Opie's a narcissist; and Anthony is antisocial. While they tend to overlap in some ways, it mostly fits.

Hahahha that's a chick thing as well.

Well, no shit.

We know about his cutting? Jimmy is a cutter?

He's a brooder. He sits there and just...brooods.

You didn’t need to write all of that. He’s in the entertainment industry. Of cause he has a personality disorder.

  1. Identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self.

What does that even mean?

Does Chip count?

In other words, he's an insatiable faggot
