I'm sure there will be a lot of comics that stay quiet on this. Not because they don't think it's bullshit, but because neither of these guys can boost their careers in any way.
So I should ignore all the threads on this subreddit, LOS, and others where people bitch about being tired of listening to comics discuss the, "state of comedy" on podcasts but CC should waste time on a comedy show showing a comic not telling jokes but discussing the state of comedy?
I think everyone should ignore comedy as a whole and put all of these "artists" out of business now rather than later. They sit around and bitch about the state of their art all day, but will continue to play places that buy into the same shit they bitch about for hours.
Comedy is full-blown dead. People go to clubs to hear hacky, family friendly sitcom chuckles apparently. Take note of all the sellouts (women, street shitters and their co-conspirators) who valued their self preservation and sold out to the SJW PC police.
Did you ever think 20 years ago that the ones who would be pro censorship, offended and screaming about naughty words would be the liberals? They had us all convinced the Christians were the evil ones shutting down speech.
I think comedy is going to be pushed out of the liberal big cities and into the places where people still laugh at fag jokes. Artie already has three shows booked at hunting camps for January
Fag, women, blacks, Asians, cripples, fatties... Basically all humor that isn't "Men are so stupid, right? Here's how much of a smelly pussy whore I am though.." from a fat girl
Tipper Gore is a liberal and lead the biggest campaign against freedom of speech in the 90's against entertainers, so it's not surprising. Christians turned the page once they realized the country was rapidly moving on from their traditional values. Any group with any sort of angle is using whatever selling point they can to get more followers.
Patel got in trouble with the Columbia students for a riff on a gay black man in his diverse neighborhood, and how that man convinced him that sexual orientation isn’t a choice.
“No one looks in the mirror and thinks, ‘This black thing is too easy; let me just add another thing to it.’ Nobody is doubling down on hardship.”
Anybody want to explain what's so offensive about that?
What's so dangerous about Barney? In a word, denial: the refusal to recognize the existence of unpleasant realities. For along with his steady diet of giggles and unconditional love, Barney offers our children a one-dimensional world where everyone must be happy and everything must be resolved right away.
"Using denial as a primary coping strategy," confirms Dr. Lisa Korman, a child psychiatrist practicing in New York City, "means that, in stark contrast to PBS luminaries like Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers, Barney & Friends does not help children learn to tolerate sorrow, pain, frustration and failure."
The unamused students of Columbia’s Asian American Alliance, who had booked him to perform, cut his act short, later stating, “We acknowledge that discomfort and safety can coexist, however, the discomfort Patel caused was unproductive in this space.”

They grew up with Barney the Dinosaur telling them that even momentary discomfort should be avoided at all costs.

Listen, I grew up with Barney the fucking Dinosaur. Only thing he taught us was to keep our fucking mouths shut or he’d kill our families.

I think you're thinking of Professor Tinkerputt.
