I've spent time in Brazil, this is true. They have the super rich and the ultra poor. There are very few in between. There is no middle class to speak of. If you have money, you pay some local poor folks a couple real a week to watch over your house to keep the other local poor folks from breaking in. They spent decades under leftist rule, as far as they are concerned it can't really get any worse under right. Might as well give it shot.
They're clocking sixty thousand murders a year on a two hundred million population and their presidents were just thrown in jail on corruption charges. Might as well go in the total opposite direction.
