Why would anyone pay for Sirius?

This is a legit question. I loved subscribing to the service in 2004 when there were no other options for music and y’all.

It’s 2018 and Spotify for the same price of Sirius’ basic subscription offers music, of any kind, on demand.

Podcasts are fucking free.

Why the Fuck would anyone pay for this? I actually get paying for Howard. Fair enough, but 33 million people can’t just be there for Stern.

$25 for 6 months of Sirius Select isn't too bad. When cancelling and re-upping, just insist to deal on web chat if you don't feel like having to deal with Sanjay over the phone.

Probably sports. They do all the major sports if you want to listen to that programming and programming about it. Football, baseball, NBA, NCAA programming, hockey, NASCAR and people and programming like Colin Cowherd, BarStoolSports, Mad Dog, Golic and Wingo, Jim Rome, etc. Its pricey, but I can see why sports, some music channels, and maybe a talk show you get into would be worth it. But yeah, the packages like that cost as much as Spotify/Hulu and NetFlix or Amazon Prime, so yeah, satellite radio is a ripoff.

You can get sports broadcasts from tunein with a sub, too. No idea if a sub there is competitively priced with sxm though.

So they pretty much give away their service for pennies on the dollar “Billboard” style. Every time my 6 month subscription ($25) is up some street shitter calls me up and I threaten to leave and they bend the knee and give me a better deal like $20 for 6 months. I haven’t paid my bill in years because I keep giving them some BS excuse and that curry nigger just folds like a cheap suit.
