The most memorable scene from that Good Night and Good Luck movie for me was David Strathairn's Edward R. Murrow interviewing archive footage of Liberace and said something to the effect of "Tell your wife hello for me", and I can easily imagine homosexuality not entering Murrow's mind because people just did not do gay shit in the public.
