I’m rewatching right now and I disagree. I’m not saying it’s perfect, but definitely still holds up. I’m at the end of season two where Gus comes into the picture and Walt watches Jessie’s gf die.
Dexter could be quality at times, especially as you mentioned the john lithgow season (4?) but i get why some people don't like it, it can be a bit gay/over the top at times.

I enjoy watching anything filmed in Miami, and if you haven't seen the season of Dexter with John Lithgow it is worth a watch.
