Jim Norton owes his career to Opie and Anthony. His comedy just sucks. How that worm is still on the air is a mystery to me. What a piece of shit. There I said it!!
He really is an entitled cunt. He got lucky being on that show but thinks it's all because of his skills. Yeah he was usually funny on the old shows but why does he think that should grant him millions of dollars and hot young girls? Half the people on this sub are funnier than him. Making quick remarks is the only thing he's good at. All his other endeavors failed miserably. I guess that's what being coddled by your mommy until you're in your 30's does to you.
My wife and I like to go see comedy shows on occasion. She never heard of Norton and so I showed her one of his specials. After watching it she said that she didn’t want to waste the money as she found absolutely nothing funny about his special. I had to agree.
I thought Norton was funny on the radio so I got tix to the Anti Social show a few years back. That ruined it for me. Even Schumer was funnier than him and she was just chugging wine telling horrible ma vagina jokes. I never looked at Norton the same since then.
I never listened to any of Jim's stand up and only knew him from the show. A few years back he was in town so I bought my brother and myself tickets. I don't think either one of us laughed but on a few occasions. He had a local guy open for him who felt more comfortable on stage and was more funny.
He USED to be quick just like anthony and it was fucking hilarious. 'quick witted' gets much more good will and easier laughs than anything else. Its fucking great for radio since otherwise its only good use casual social situations.
Unfortunately anything he wrote seemed pretty shit.
