Bronson Pinchot is so funny in Beverly Hills Cop. Think about it though this show couldn't even be made today. This rather bland sitcom featuring a comic caricature of a foreigner from an invented republic would be basically worse than Hitler. Really makes you think.
I don’t think it’s still on, but CBS had a sitcom called Two Broke Girls (created by Whitney Cummings and the showrunner of sex in the city) recently that had 80’s style foreigner stereotypes—a greedy Asian midget, a lecherous Eastern European guy, a ditzy ambiguously Eastern European sex obsessed older woman (Stiffler’s mom). It was odd to see, and not very well done.
Agreed. I watched more episodes of that shit than I’d like to admit, and it was really gross and soul sucking. Eventually my girlfriend at the time, who incidentally was a mid 20’s hipster waitress in Williamsburg (the title and target market of that show) was like “this show is so...gay and fake”.
And it was—it was literally a show about shallow young women written by shallow old gay men.
It also played on the most tired tropes of class warfare, and in such hack ways. Oh wow, the “poor” Jewish girl with huge tits is so street smart (wtf?), she’s teaching her blonde rich hot friend some lessons! But learning some lessons of her own too! Yawn.

Well I just went on bing and typed it in and a shit ton of episodes came up. I'm watching one now

It's pretty shitty and tacky. It was kind of The Big Bang Theory of its time. I wouldn't waste your time but just my opinion.

Well I'm 36. And it was part of the TGIF line up on Fridays on abc. So there is a lot of nostalgia factor going for it

When I want some nostalgia factor I watch Triumph Of The Will. No accounting for taste I guess.

Don't belittle my taste. I'm a good boy. Very drunk but good. And there is pizza in the fridge

"I myself despise nostalgia, because it's so old."

That show legit depresses me. It's everything I hate about the world. A curse upon all involved!

It's weird watching that now. So much 80's stuff has this naive, optimistic almost innocent quality to it.

Ya know Larry is supposed to be 28 in this show. 28!

I worked with Bronson Pinchot on a film. Very interesting, kind hearted fella

What film? What was your job? Was it True Romance? That would make you 60? Length and girth?

I didn't see his pecker :(

I didn’t realize family matters was a spin off of this show until this year. Blew my mind.
