We need a Fez Whatley documentary

All the Anthony, brother Joe, and Sam docs have been great. But theyve been (deserved) hit pieces and exposed. We need one made in honor, to the Big Cat. He has the single most fascinating story arc in the entire O & A universe. I know he no longer lives a public life, but I'd love to see the memory played out in full narrative.

What is his story anyhow?

It's shocking

That would be interesting, but I'd guess our Fez wouldn't want anything to do with even an honorable piece about his public life. If it was me, I'd want his full blessing at least.

The tale of Toddy-boy and his childhood sofa on paint cans would be an interesting one

I never paid attention to Ron and fez. Would it be worth it to go back and watch the classic episodes? Is it as funny or entertaining as peak OnA? I’ve heard a few times when fez called in, but it was just confusing and I never understood what the fuck he was doing; it just sounded like he was doing a “gay” character or something.

I initially wrote off the show as boring, but after this sub ruined listening to old O&A clips for me I started listening to R&F. It takes a while to get into the show but I think it's a better show than O&A was. I suggest start listening when they came to XM.

I will try

That's part of the magic, Fez definitely started as a character that morphed to greater and lesser degrees into his real personality.

it just sounded like he was doing a “gay” character or something

When O&A were new to XM, they said they had 5 "Golden Tickets" to bring shows they liked to their channel. Ron & Fez were actually the only show that came on, but when announced, Fez pranced into the studio and started singing, "I got a golden ticket! I got a golden ticket!" Ron immediately said, "That's what you're doing? Sticking with the gay bit?"

Old Ron & Fez was the best.

Okay here's the thing with Ron and Fez. The show has to click for you. It took years for me to finally get the show. But if you can get over that, it's honestly a superior show to O&A.

But if you want to listen to it, I suggest you start back at the WNEW show. The downfall of Fez is an 10+ year storyline that plays out daily over that time frame. You have his crush on Rory Hamptons on WNEW that comes through over the air, then you have the start of his depression and crying in DC because of that. Then you have the glorious return to New York and the immediate heart attack.

Ron and Fez are a lot like pro wrestling. A lot of their show is a work. They don't dive into their lives like O&A do and when they do, it isn't always true. A lot of their show is them sitting back or driving the friends of the show or staff into interesting things.

It is amazingly funny and entertaining. I was never an O&A fan. I found them, and this sub, through Ron & Fez. There isn't a doubt in my mind that El Gatto Grande, the Big Cat, deserves a documentary.

And by the way, all you faggots who love Opie unironically now?...OPIE HATED FEZ, AND FEZ IS ONE OF THIS SUB'S PATRON SAINTS.

So now what?

I don't think the Opester hated Fez. I think he just didn't want to get caught up in his whirlwind of insanity

I think Opie's mom and Fez had similar disorders and Opie was taking out his frustrations with his mom on Fez. Opie's disgust with his mom came up right around the time Fez got really bad.

We need his face on Mt Rushmore

This would honestly be the most fascinating of them all. You wouldn’t need to embellish at all. Just tell the story of his unravelling on and off air over the decades.

someone tell the Fez that the only way to prevent the documentary from being made is for him to get a cat to say "cookie" live on air

I think it would be hard to do because there's so much material to cover, and nobody really knows how much of it was real or just part of the bit and character he was playing.

No we don't, stupid. I don't want to watch an hour long fluff piece, or tribute. Keep up the hit pieces, keep spilling the truth.

I was lucky enough to catch Fez from the beginning on The Ron and Ron show. Oh what a wild fucking ride its been . A fucking legend.
