I've absolutely had cases where I have mentioned something and it turn up as a advert or suggested video etc. When I was in school a 90's pop band turned up and mimed to their single. I talked about it when we were discussing first concerts and how bad they were. It then came up on my suggested videos on YouTube
Once or twice I can accept. But its happened far too often to be coincidence. A 90's pop girl band who I didn't know the name of turning up in my suggested videos is way to obscure to be dumb luck.
When Black Sabbath put out their last album Jim something along the lines of “I don’t know guys, this album could go number 1 based off all the advertising I’m seeing for it. The label must know something”. He was referring to google pop up ads.
Youtube suggests to you based on what other people have watched. A lot of people watching Porsalin documentary probably also watched this afterwards, so it thinks you would too if you watched the documentary.
It's the same reason that if you watch a Compound Media video on youtube, it suggests videos about trannies and their dilation treatments and stuff.
