Just seemed like he was nervously fake laughing (more than usual) at anything they were talking about and eagerly keeping a non-funny conversation going (more than usual) to not allow any dead air where someone could crack a joke about the doc. I admit I could be reading too much into this, but I just had a gut feeling that he seemed uncomfortable.

He knows he's under Major scrutiny now, since that documentary about h8m came out. (Which he did watch, regardless of what he might say)

At least Jim had the balls to bring up the doc abouthim and address it. But Sam can’t take criticism so he has to pretend it didn’t happen.

I called in about an hour into the shit show for expressly that purpose, was put on hold for less than a minute, and hung up on. Stupid shit oaf needed to be told to hang up on me. The next time I called, he picked up, laughed like queef, and said “no comment” when I pretended to want to talk about Kanye on SNL. I’m pretty sure my number is on a black list now.
