The first time I saw this it was presented out of context. I thought for sure it was an example of Jim Norton's over-exaggerated "acting". The fact that this was not only real, but in response to something so trivial and petty was fucking mind-blowing.
You dont see looks as intense as this in movies where the character's family gets slaughtered as he watches from the closet and sees the killer's face, grows up and then runs into him as an adult.
