Everyone in the work truck said “who is this faggit. Change this shit”...and proceeded to put on “Lil Pump” or some stupid shit (just to give you reference of what they think is good content. )

.....what?

Bert Kriesher is putting everyone in the work truck to sleep. They instead put on some shitty rap. And to be honest id rather listen to this shitty rap than Bert

You’re far too kind. 😀

you should go listen to the Kane Show on Hot 99.5!

Eliot in the Morning is so much better than the Jim Norton and Worthless Co-host Show (and Eliot is not good).

It gets the job done. At least Diane isn't a total hole

She can be hole-ish alotta times but i wouldnt say shes a total hole.

She's better than Sam.

Not gonna argue that

I picture you on that lawn care truck with the boxing coach in The Wire.

in the cab or in the back?

Cutty was the most worthless character in the history of TV. They spent all this time developing him and it went fucking nowhere.

That was the point. He reached out to those kids, and maybe it worked with 1 of them, although he was still a corner kid by season’s end.

No I mean they wasted so much time on his backstory and his retirement and then the boxing shit and then he basically just disappeared. Nothing ever happened.

When he manned up and said "The game ain't in me no mo''" that was pretty much a wrap for his character... you really think the show needed to follow another reformed 'hood elder statesman around?

Yes that should have been it but then they spent a bunch more time on the creepy young boy boxing shit that went fucking nowhere.

In five seasons, he was the only character that we watched come home from prison and attempt to live the straight & narrow with felony convictions hanging over his head and the stigma/barriers therein. It wasn't until he told Avon he couldn't do it anymore that he went to take on his real challenges.

He was also an essential part of Michael's arc. Being molested by Bug's dad made him distrustful of adult males and fucked up his self esteem. Even though Michael knew he was one of the best in the gym, he would never let Cutty get too close, one-on-one--like when he insists on getting dropped off blocks away from his house--and he was destined to sabotage his promising talent. When Cutty started dating the moms of some of his students, Michael's already fragile trust is broken and he ends up in Marlo's hands.

Yes all of that is true but it would have been nice if they wrapped up his story a bit instead of just sort of phasing him out

I see your point and I'm pretty sure I just wanted to go on a tangent.

For what it's worth, if they had time to do Season 5 properly and were given a full 13 episodes and they hadn't focused on the newspapers and the painfully fucking stupid serial killer story, they might have done something cooler with Cutty.

Yeah the whole paper thing was a mess. I could have done without season 3 as well.

It's possible that combining the city gov't/bureaucracy theme of Season 3 with the paper angle as a supporting storyline could have actually worked. A newsroom chasing down corruption in Clay Davis, the police department, money laundering via Stringer and Avon's properties, etc. while the street war played out as the A storyline could have been pretty nifty.

I'm going to take this over to The Wire subreddit and see if I can get them to write me some ghetto-noir fan fiction.

I’m a bit surprised they haven’t brought back the show or tried to do a spin-off or something. Seems like it only got more popular after it ended.

I would enjoy a Levy show or at this point they could revisit the kids and see what they are up to.

Season 3 is about the frustrations of institutional reform. Stringer is allowed to be killed by Marlo partly because he established the co-op and started transitioning the Barksdale organization into legitimate business. Colvin is dismissed when he tries to tolerate drugs to reduce the homicide rate. And Cutty has limited success pulling kids off the corner.

If anything, his character ran its course after Season 3 and his role in Season 4 was a vessel to give further insight into the kids. He’s mostly there to push Michael into the Stansfield organization.

work truck?

rubbing elbows with coworkers?

yuck

Nope. I got a mexican on my lap. Not next to me. ;)

Gonna try and take him into the bushes?

Bert Kreisher sucks big time. FIFY

He seems to being pushed hard to every fucking show. I guess publicists want to milk the fat cashcow before he literally explodes.

If they were going to listen to lil pump why even bother giving morning radio a try first ?

The first time I ever heard Bert was on Elliot and I was struck with how he seemed to be competing with Elliot for most horrible bullshit laughter

I haven't listened since they removed the dedicated Elliot in the Morning channel from I Heart Radio.

lil pump is way better than o&a

....lol?

Opie and Anthony was a shitty morning zoo radio show and lil pump makes stupid songs. Lil pump is better than o&a.

I remember the location rock station of Baltimore getting jocktobered. Those radio stations stink too

Idiot in the morning is still on? Shows how much I listen to local radio.

It gets the job done. At least Diane isn't a total hole
