Jim Norton hates his family

There's a good story in his complete detachment from his family. At least for us. For him it's probably upsetting and hurtful. It should be part of the sequel to TWHT

I'm sure they hate him back.

Never talks about a holiday spent with them. Never mentions taking his nephew anywhere.

I think they dont want his sex degenerate self at Christmas.

"Is creepy uncle jim coming?"

I mean, it would obviously never come up in conversation but the 800 pound gorilla in the room is still there

The family doesn't want to mention how the real life "Uncle Paul" created the Worm we see before us

The only time he talks about actively hanging out with family members, it is always his nephew. Make your own assumptions.

Jim's completely detached from every other human on the plantet, it's what happens when you validate peoples bullshit at a young age (fake addictions, etc)

He’s mentioned his parents and a sister throughout the years. Never goes deep but comes across like they get along fine.

Except he spends Thanksgiving with Bob Kelly....

....and Christmas alone.

Or with Sam Roberts....

He resends them for forcing him to be sober and tries his best to shame them with his lifestyle.

He's so creepy and self-involved.

I doubt there was some relationship-ending blowout. It's probably a simple case of him being a bad son who doesn't bother to keep in touch.

I'm sure he makes up for it every holiday with signed celebrity photos as gifts.

He learned from Opie that it is boring radio to talk about your family in the air - much less put them on the air.
