Ant/Joe/or both may have been contacted by official Twitter representatives or finally read the Twitter terms of service notifying them that every tweet and private message is recorded and stored indefinitely on Twitter servers whether you delete the message or comment, disable your account, or delete your account. He may also now be aware that your IP address when logging in to Twitter or posting a comment is recorded. Logging into different accounts doesn't necessarily hide your identity. I wonder what things the Cumias have been up to...

One thing that could've saved Ant a ton of problems is a social media PR person. I know, I know... He would've never have done that, but when you already have a platform to spew your opinions for hours every week, why do you need to continue to do it on social media 24/7? It really makes no sense. Especially when they were on an international media platform at SXM and syndicated on FM, why was twitter and going viral on youtube so damn important? YOU'RE ALREADY ON THE RADIO ALL DAY LONG! You have the fame and the platform to express yourself to millions of listeners and somehow that's not enough? They both fucked up their careers out of an obsession to basically downgrade their fame for a viral video and shout racists shit on twitter. They really are stupid people.

Good point, and one which I seem to remember him making about Opie's "trying to go viral" obsession at one point... (Was it in Greggshells.? ) Another case of him not taking his own advice.

Don't think intervention, Anthony's too pig headed to listen, and would take it as a slight. Also Missy deleted her stuff, etc....

I didn't think of the publisher angle, but it's a good one. I don't think Anthony is gone from social media, he needs that for sales. Part of the sales model for the book and podcast is an unspoken thing between Cumia and his fans that if they buy, sub, etc.... there is a chance of a personal interaction with Cumia. Whether it be a retweet, like, follow, or the mythical Compound invite, he needs that connection with fans to drive sales.

Instead, I think a deep cleaning of Anthony's social profile is being planned, which might include all new Twitters and Facebooks. There might of been a lot of unfound gold in them, waiting to be discovered (eg - like that Venmo ). So it's quicker to delete and start over.

Also, there's the troll problem. I still think him and Keith will launch a quiet Twitter cleansing during the next week or two. Or perhaps a direct legal assault on the sub in some way for harassment or similar.

Realistically he needs a personal social media presence by October at the latest. So we'll know soon.
