He was just looking for words that mean racist. He thinks misogyny and racism are the same thing. I'm not even joking. In his mind he was listing a bunch of adjectives for racism but he Freudian slipped and called himself a pedophile.
Looking back I think maybe Joe was actually happy about this because he could publicly ride Ant's coattails again: Be accused of being a violent racist to a national audience. He went out of his way to bring up pedophilia so he could make it more well rounded.
why on earth would he detail all of the accusations made against him to an audience who is already viewing him with hostility, especially when given extremely limited microphone time. why wouldn't he wait for presented evidence and deny it as mischaracterization instead of repeatedly insisting that he isn't a violent pedophile totally unprompted
