Because he doesn't understand why he shouldn't be saying insanely inflammatory things on social media and doesn't understand why successful people would want to distance themselves from that. He was warned a million times that the people he was associating with were not actually like him in any way. He was warned that they supported the child abuse that he was freaking out about. He was warned that they were leftist controlled opposition. He was warned they would immediately disavow him if anyone in the media told them to to keep their respectability.
His only response to this was to call the people who warned him anti-semites and white supremacists, so it's quite ironic that the same thing is happening to him now.
I have seen his set. It was way better than I thought it would be. Then again there's only so much respect you can grant a musical comic in my opinion.
